David L. Pells is the Managing Editor of PM World Today, a global project management eJournal and one of the world’s leading online sources of project management news and information. David is an internationally recognized leader in the field of professional project management, with over thirty years’ experience in project management. His professional experience includes a wide variety of programs and projects, including engineering, construction, transit, defense and high technology, and project sizes ranging from several thousand to ten billion dollars. He served on the board of directors of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) twice, and was awarded PMI’s Person of the Year award in 1998 and Fellow Award in 1999. He is also an Honorary Fellow of the Association for Project Management (apm) in the UK, Project Management Associates (PMA - the national PM society of India), and of the Russian Project Management Association SOVNET. Miles Shepherd is a global advisor and International Correspondent for PM World Today in the United Kingdom. He is also managing director for MS Projects Ltd, a consulting company supporting various UK Government agencies, nuclear industry organisations and other businesses.  Miles has over 30 years’ experience on a variety of projects in UK, Eastern Europe and Russia.  His PM experience includes defence, major IT projects, decommissioning of nuclear reactors, nuclear security, rail and business projects for the UK Government and EU.   Past Chair and Fellow of the Association for Project Management (APM), Miles is also past president and chair of the International Project Management Association (IPMA).  He is also Chair of the ISO committee that is developing the new ISO 21500 Guidelines for Project Management.  He was involved in leading APM’s guidelines for project management oversight and governance.  Miles is based in Salisbury, England and can be contacted at miles.shepherd@msp-ltd.co.uk.

Ana Maria Rodriguez  is founder and manager of ERA Project Management, offering consulting services to the Engineering and Construction Industry in Rosario, Argentina, and is an adjunct professor of project management at the Universidad Nacional de Rosario. Colombian by birth, Ms. Rodriguez graduated with a Civil Engineering Degree from Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota and from the University of Texas at Austin, USA with a Masters Degree in Construction Engineering and Project Management (MSE).  Ms Rodriguez has implemented Project Management best practices and managed projects both in the government sector and in the engineering and construction private sector. Ms. Rodriguez is part of the Board of Directors of PMI Buenos Aires Argentina Chapter (PMIBA), founding member of PMI Nuevo Cuyo Chapter, and leads the development of PMI in Rosario. Jouko Vaskimo

Jouko Vaskimo is Projects Director at Ixonos PLC, a major Finnish IT consultancy.  Jouko is also an International Correspondent and regional editor for PM World Today in Finland. Mr. Vaskimo graduated from Helsinki University of Technology in 1992.  Since then he has held project and PM related assignments with increasing levels for responsibility at Sinebrychoff, the oldest brewery in Scandinavia; Kemira Engineering Ltd, a major chemicals company; DNA Finland Ltd, a major Finnish mobile phone operator; and for Nokia. At Ixonos PLC since 2006, Jouko is responsible for project management methodology and competence development within the Ixonos group and at Ixonos clients. Jouko holds the IPMA Level C (Project Manager) and Level B (Senior PM) certificates and is an IPMA assessor for Project Management Association Finland (PMAF). He is a member of the PMAF Board of Directors and a founding member of PMI Finland Chapter.  He received the PMP certificate in 2003.  Since October 2007, Jouko has been head of the Finnish delegation to ISO for creation of the new ISO 21 500: Project Management: Guide to project management – standard.  Based in Helsinki, Finland, Jouko can be contacted at jouko.vaskimo“at”ixonos.com
