 Jurgen Oschadleus, MBA, PMP
Jurgen Oschadleus, MBA, PMP, is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Sydney, Australia. Jürgen is also the Director of Act Knowledge Pty Ltd and the Managing Partner of Valense (Australia). With over 15 years of experience across the globe, he draws on his diverse industry and cultural experiences to bring sustainable change to individuals, teams and organisations. Formally qualified as an educator and trainer, he later moved into a strategic consulting role with Booz.Allen & Hamilton (South Africa). He then took on project management roles with Concur UK, CPA International and the SAS Institute, deploying business solutions into blue chip companies across the UK, Europe and later Asia Pacific. Since 2001 he has focused his primary attention on developing the leadership capabilities of his diverse clients. He is the author of Heart of Influence, and has written numerous articles and papers on leadership, influential communication and sustainable change. His training programs have been delivered on five continents, and he is a frequent contributor to international conferences, as well as keynote speaker at a range of C-level Summits. He currently serves on the Project Management Institute's (PMI) Registered Education Provider Advisory Group, and is a co-author of the PMI's e-learning program on the PMBOK® Guide to Project Management (Third and Fourth editions). He is the Course Coordinator and Facilitator for the Project Management and Supply Chain Management courses that form part of the Masters of Business & Technology program at the University of New South Wales, and presents the project management component of the University of Sydney's Masters in Veterinary Public Health Management. Jurgen is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), is DiSC- and SDI-accredited, and an Advanced Toastmaster (Gold). Mounir A. Ajam, MS, PMP, is an International Correspondent for PMForum in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE). Mr. Ajam is also chief executive officer of SUKAD FZ-LLC, an Innovation Centre based in Dubai Knowledge Village and with services provided across the Middle East.SUKAD specializes in project management (PM) consultancy, training, and performance improvement, and clients include Saudi Arabian Parsons, UAE Ministry of Finance and Industry, Dubai Holding, National Commercial Bank, Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), TECOM Investments, Saudi Aramco, and many others. Mr. Ajam is a PM expert with 20 years of experience in the engineering, construction, oil, gas, and petrochemical industries.  Getachew Teklemariam Alemu Mr. Getachew Teklemariam Alemu is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Mr. Alemu is also an Infrastructure Projects Expert in the Development Projects Department of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, government of Ethiopia. This department is responsible for studying and controlling the project planning and management system at the federal level in the country. Getachew is responsible for monitoring, appraising and reporting on public sector infrastructure projects financed by the Ethiopian government or bilateral and multilateral donors. He has a Bachelor's of Science degree in Land Resources Management and Environmental Protection from Mekelle University in Ethiopia.  Germán Bernate Germán Bernate is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Colombia. Based in Bogotá, he is also General Manager and Founder of ALMAGESTON Consulting Firm. Mr. Bernate holds a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas. Mr. Bernate has dedicated 45 years of his professional life to the engineering and software industry in the areas of strategic management, Balanced ScoreCard, and Project Management. Germán worked for more than thirty years at IBM Colombia, where he assumed a wide range of responsibilities in both technical and management areas. He also worked as a Project Manager at NCR Colombia. Mr. Bernate has managed projects in Banks, government, distribution, communication networks, aerial transport, and retail stores. Germán has published several books, including “El año 2000 al acecho” (2000 Year Coming) related to the Y2K problem. In 2004 Mr. Bernate was a guest speaker at the congress organized by PMI Madrid Chapter, with the lecture “Triunfos y frustraciones de un Gerente de Proyecto en Latinoamérica'” (Triumphs and frustrations of a Project Manager in Latin America). In February 2006 he presented “How to Grow in a Different Environment” at the annual congress of the Association for Strategic Planning - ASP- in Los Angeles, CA, USA. In 1992 Germán won the first award of the fourth edition of the literary contest “Dr. Mariano Zumel” in Madrid, Spain.  Artur Bialy
Artur Bialy is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Poland. He is also an experienced project manager, program manager and technical manager/leader, with over ten years of experience managing IT projects on various levels. He has managed the implementation of complex internet applications, data warehouse and real-time systems. Artur has worked in various roles for international companies in Poland, Ireland, France and Spain. He is an expert in IT project management, business intelligence and real-time applications. Mr. Bialy graduated from the University of Technology and Science, the Department of Computer Science, where he was conducting research into Intelligent Agent Systems and Artificial Intelligence. Artur holds Masters Degree in Applied Computer Science. He also holds the Project Management Professional (PMP ®) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and is an active member of PMI; he was a founding member of the PMI Poland Chapter. He is involved in new agile project management practices, works as an active Scrum Master and helps in implementations of lean/agile practices.  Antonello Bove
Antonello Bove is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today. Based in Washington, DC, Mr. Bove is also a Consultant for the Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC), the private investment arm of the Inter-American Development Bank, a multilateral development Bank based in Washington DC, (www.iadb.org), where he has worked since 2003. At IIC, Antonello is the leader of the Italian Development Program, a program designed to strengthen European tieswith Latin America and the Caribbean; He spends his time between Italy, Latin America and the USA. The program is creating a network of enterprises and organizations that areinvolved in import, export, and FDI with the focus on providing finance for medium and long term investments.The program also helps develop strategic alliances with European organization such as Chambers of Commerce,Industrial Associations, International Organizations and Financial Institutions. Antonello was previously CEO of Robur Corporation in Indiana, USA, a manufacturer and marketer of gas absorption air-conditioning technology for residential, commercial and industrial markets. At Robur he was CEO & General Manger (1997 – 2002), Executive VP & General Manager (1996 – 1997), Board Member & VP Financial Restructuring (1995). He was hired at Robur to turn around an under-performing company and accelerate its transformation from a manufacturing company to a market-driven entity. During 1988 – 1990, he was a Business development & government affairs manager at Iniziativa S.p.A. (Milan-Rome, Italy) today Ernst & Young, where he provided government loan consulting services for industrial companies seeking financial support for projects focused on new products and manufacturing processes. Antonello has been a contract visiting professor at ABITA - Project Management University of Florence, Italy. He was previously an adjunct professor of International Business and Project Management in the School of Business Administration, University of Evansville in Indiana. Antonello is the author of the recently published project management book, La metodologia dei 12 Step, published in Italy by Hoepli in 2008.  Alfonso Bucero Alfonso Bucero, PMP, is an International Correspondent for PMForum based in Madrid, Spain. Mr. Bucero is also founder and Managing Partner of BUCERO PM Consulting. He previously managed the office in Spain for the International Institute for Learning (IIL) for two years, and was a Senior Project Manager at Hewlett-Packard Spain (Madrid Office) for thirteen years. Alfonso is an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI ®), of the ALI (Asociación de Licenciados, Ingenieros y Doctores en Informática), and of the Spanish Project Management Association, AEIPRO (afíliate member asociación of the International Project Management Association, IPMA). Alfonso was the founder, sponsor and President of the PMI Barcelona, Spain Chapter until April 2005, and he is an IPMA Assessor. He belongs to the LIAG (Leadership Institute Advisory Group) of PMI. Suraj Dahal is a visiting faculty member for project management at Kathmandu
University School of Management for MBA and at National College for Kathmandu
University affiliated Bachelor's Degree programs in Development Studies and
Development Finance. He completed his Bachelor's of Science degree in
electrical engineering BSEE in 1997 and Master's of Business Administration
degree MBA in 1999 from the University of South Alabama (USA), and is a PhD
candidate at ESC Lille (France) in Strategy, Program and Project Management.
Suraj has served at senior-most executive positions at prominent non profits in
Nepal and implemented projects with the Global Marketplace of the World Bank,
DfID / Enabling State Program, European Commission, Save the Children, and
other international organizations. A graduate of the Executive Program for Non
Profit Leaders of the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University (USA),
he is also a trainer and consultant for development projects. He is the
Executive Chairman of Kathmandu Academy that offers a suite of qualifications
like Cambridge University's International A Level, International Diploma in
Project Management and ACCA. Mr. Dahal is an active advocate of the profession

Luis
Fasano, PMP Luis Fasano is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Panama. Mr. Fasano has 17 years of experience in the field technology and computer science and 8 years of experience in positions related to Project Management. Most of his experience is related to technology integration and implementation of Information Systems such as CRM, ERP, PMIS. He has participated in government projects financed by the Inter American Development Bank (IADB), the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and the World Bank, and has handled 3 offices of projects for local consultants and governmental offices. He is an Engineer in Computer Systems from the Technological Institute of Monterrey (ITESM), and has achieved a Masters in Computer Science also from ITESM and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Notre Dame, USA. He is a PMP certified and has been part of the educational body of institutions like the Inter-American University and University of Louisville. Irwin José Franco Irwin José Franco, MS, PMP is an International Correspondent for PMForum in Ecuador. Mr. Franco is also a Project Manager at Image Tech, a leading web and multimedia solutions company based in Guayaquil, Ecuador. Irwin has a B.A. in Visual Communications from Universidad San Francisco de Quito in Quito, Ecuador, and a Masters degree in Project Management (Specialization in Information Technology) from Universidad La Salle in Madrid, Spain. Since 2000, Irwin has developed and managed more than 40 IT projects, including E-commerce and E-banking portals, mobile solutions, content management systems, corporate software projects and multimedia products. He has developed solutions for the telecommunications, mass media, tourism and financial sectors. Recently he has been responsible for deployment of Microsoft's Enterprise Project Management (EPM) solution and framework, and for establishing project management best practices with Risk and Earned Value Management. Rüdiger Geist,PMP, IPMA Level B, is an International Correspondent for PMForum and the global PM World Today eJournal in Switzerland. He is also the Managing Director of Spirit@PM GmbH, a Swiss-based consultancy specializing in coaching, consulting, outsourcing and training in the areas of Project, Programme and Project Portfolio Management. He is also Associate Professor of Project Management at Kalaidos Fachhochschule (Zurich), the International Institute of Management (Fribourg) and IFA AG (Zurich). He was Managing Director for Agora Associates GmbH during 2007-2008, where he was engaged in consulting, coaching and training in project, program and portfolio management. He was previously assistant quality manager for software development, lead coach for project management, member of CMMI team and PM expert team, and project portfolio manager for Credit Suisse (2005-2007). Mr. Theofanis Giotis (BA, MSc, MCT, PMP®), is Founder and owner of 12PM Consulting (2009), Co-Founder and CEO of ITEC Training S.A. (1988), and Co-Founder and CEO of ITEC Total Solutions S.A. (1995). He is Co-Founder and President of PMI GREECE Chapter (Greek Chapter of Project Management Institute) since 2005. He is President of IAMCP GREECE (Greek Chapter of International Association of Microsoft Certified Partners). Finally he is the Acting President of IIBA GREECE (Greek Chapter of International Institute of Business Analysis). Ted has 13+ years of experience as a Project Manager both inside and outside of State government in the United States. Ted managed campaigns and outreach for several Pennsylvania State Representatives, and managed their integration into the workings of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. He served as Director of the Policy Committee for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, where he managed legislative issues, including the preparation and passage of legislation. Ted oversaw the implementation of the State enabling legislation for the historic Federal “Motor Voter” law, and was the Project Manager for the first nationally recognized centralized voter registration system, which became a model for the Federal “Help America Vote Act” in the USA. Ted earned the Election Center's prestigious “Certification in Election and Registration Administration” certificate and has served as a speaker on election and voter registration laws, software systems and issues across the country. David “Dave” Maurer, Lieutenant Colonel, USA (Ret.), PMP, is the Project Director for the Continental United States Military Transition Assistance Program delivered by Inverness Technologies, Inc. through the U.S. Department of Labor. He is also on the Board of Advisors of Synergy Development and Training, LLC and is a former Vice President with Axiom Resource Management, Inc. where he consulted for the Defense Department. A native of Trenton, New Jersey, USA, Dave earned his B.S. degree in economics from Seton Hall University and was commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army’s Adjutant General Corps through the ROTC program. Ahmed Saleh Mokhtar is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Egypt. Mr. Mokhtar is also a freelancer project management consultant and trainer. Previously, he was the Consultancy Director for Promastar, a Cairo-based project management advisory and training firm (since 2004) and by EPM consultancy (since 1998). Ahmed is a Senior Project Management Consultant and certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with a 23-year service record providing project management services to public and private sector organizations in Egypt, Germany, Saudi Arabia and the UA Emirates. He was previously Director of the Project Management Division in the EPM Consultancy in Cairo from 1998-2003. Bob Owen Bob Owen is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in the United Kingdom (UK). He is also Senior Research Fellow at the University of Salford. Mr. Owen has been involved with project management in various guises for more than 30 years. Most of these projects have been in the defence sector and many have been large or extremely large and international in nature. Bob qualified in electronics in the Royal Air Force before being commissioned as a Pilot (Fast Jet) and then moving into intelligence. He has many years of defence experience, including roles in research, business development, project management and consultancy. Having worked at a high level for many years, Bob decided to formalise his (lack of) education. He gained an MSc (Distinction) in Information Systems in 2004 and went on to study advanced project management for his PhD before being appointed (January 2008) Senior Research Fellow in the Salford Centre for Research & Innovation, the core of the UK's most prestigious (6 Star) Research Institute for the Built & Human Environment. His research concentrates on the implementation of lean and agile project management in non-traditional sectors; he has published and presented widely. He has organised several conferences and is a popular speaker, having been invited by the Project Management Institute, the Association for Project Management and various commercial and academic organisations, many for repeat visits.  Manfred Rieck Mr. Manfred Rieck, MBA, MSc, PMP, is an International Correspondent for www.pmforum.org in Frankfurt, Germany. Mr. Rieck is Manager at IBM Corporation for IT-Business Development and Project Delivery in the finance, automotive and public sectors and holds an IBM Senior Project Manager certification.  David Shannon David Shannon is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in the United Kingdom (UK). Mr. Shannon is also Managing Director of Oxford Project Management Ltd., a UK-based project management advisory and consulting firm. David has a Natural Sciences degree and Master of Arts degree from Oxford University (Oriel College), and a Diploma in Accountancy and Finance from the Association of Certified Accountants in the UK. Skarabot Andrej Skarabot, PhD, is an international correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Slovenia. He has a diploma in Chemical Engineering (1963) from Ljubljana University in Slovenia and a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) in Business Administration (1975) and Ph.D. in Business Administration (1985) from Zagreb University in Croatia. Dr. Skarabot was a professor on three technical faculties, on the subject business and project management at the University of Ljubljana, Slovenia from 1980 – 2006, retiring in 2007. During 1989 – 2006, he was also a partner in d.o.o., a management consulting firm based in Ljubljana. Andrej was the first in Slovenia to write articles and teach seminars on network analysis and project management in 1965. Since then he has extensive experience working and consulting on more than 80 projects, including construction, pharmaceutical, electro, mechanical engineering and governmental. He is an expert is organizing and implementing project management processes and programmes, in the construction and IT fields. He is President and First Assessor of the Slovenian Certification Body (SloCert) for the International Project Management Association (IPMA). He is also an assessor for IPMA's International Project Management Award. For many years, he was a member of the Executive Committee for the Slovenian Project Management Association; he is an Expert of the Slovenian Economics Union.  Philip Smelt Philip Smelt B.Sc.(Hons.), M.Phil., MAPM is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in the United Kingdom (UK). He also works at Lincolnshire County Council (England’s 4th largest County) as a Senior Business Change Project Manager. Philip began his career as a research chemist for the Ministry of Defence at the Chemical Defence Establishment, Porton down; studying gas adsorption on novel polymeric materials. This research resulted in an M.Phil., numerous presentations and the publication of three scientific publications. Philip then spent several years traveling the globe whilst working on projects in the scientific instrumentation industry, including, (surprisingly), 5 years in the Soviet Union at the time of Perestroika and Glasnost. His work involved the commissioning of multi-million pound state of the art Surface Science Instrumentation including M.B.E., S.I.M.S., E.S.C.A. and Auger Spectrometry Systems all of which utilized computer controlled, ultra high vacuum, electron/ion/x ray generation & detection and evaporator/electron beam deposition technology. During this time he increasingly became involved in researching new business plans via new market assessments and the organization of Soviet-based Science Exhibitions; as well carrying out security export control rating of product ranges and acquiring D.T.I. sensitive technology licenses. Following a downturn in the global market for such equipment, Philip later took up the post of Innovation & Technology Counsellor, for Humberside's new Business Links. Here he managed an annual portfolio of 200 companies, providing solutions and advice in the form of project assistance, assessments, audits and action plans, utilizing schemes and initiatives delivered through the UK’s Department of Trade and Industry and European Commission. It was at this time that Philip began to formalize his understanding of project management through post-graduate study; moving on to work for a Westland Helicopters Computer Based Training sub-contractor, where he led a team of courseware designers, authors, graphics artists and application software engineers in the production of multi-screen Computer Aided Instruction and Emulation Systems. Following work for several overseas Navies, Philip then began delivering multi-million pound Control room projects for a ‘bluelight’ company specializing in Integrated Communications Control Systems before finally settling at Lincolnshire County Council; where he was initially contracted to deliver their electronic documents programme. Ahmet N. Taspinar, MBA, PMP, REP is an International
Correspondent for PMForum in Turkey. Ahmet is also a management consultant
providing PM training and consulting services to various companies in the
information technology, financial services, construction, and manufacturing
sectors in Mexico, Turkey and the USA. Mr. Taspinar holds an MS degree in
Civil Engineering from Harvard University and a MBA degree from Northeastern
University in the United States. Ahmet has 40 years of U.S. and overseas
experience in petrochemical and energy projects, and in management information
systems development. He teaches Project Planning and Control Using PM
Software Tools, PMP Certification Preparation, and Strategic Planning for a

Alexander Tovb is an International Correspondent for www.pmforum.org based in Moscow, Russia. Mr. Tovb is also an independent project management advisor and consultant; he was recently Deputy Team Leader and project manager on the European Union funded Projects “Land and Property Policy Reform I and II” of the EU-Russia Cooperation Program (TACIS), Moscow, Russia. Jouko Vaskimo is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Finland. He is also Projects Director at Ixonos PLC, a major Finnish IT consultancy. Mr. Vaskimo graduated from Helsinki University of Technology in 1992. During his studies he worked part time at Sinebrychoff, the oldest brewery in Scandinavia. Subsequent to graduation he was hired by Sinebrychoff project services to help relocate the old brewery from Helsinki, Finland to St. Petersburg, Russia. In early 1996 Jouko was hired by Kemira Engineering Ltd; the in-house engineering office for chemicals producer Kemira. For six years he participated in various international projects as a sub-project manager in charge of equipment. DNA Finland Ltd, a major Finnish mobile phone operator with over 1 000 000 customers hired Jouko as a Program Leader in August 2001. He created a corporate project management methodology, provided in-house project management training, and managed a range of complicated projects. Nokia hired Jouko as a Process Development Manager in late 2004 for developing NOCOP, the Nokia Business Infrastructure project management methodology, in use on over 1000 ICT projects globally. In late 2006 Jouko accepted an offer from Ixonos PLC as Projects Director, responsible for project management methodology and competence development within the Ixonos group and at Ixonos clients. Mr. Videla was previously a Senior Project Manager for Siemens, Executive Director for ProManager (a consultancy), and Senior Project Manager for ABB. He has over 20 years of project management experience, on over US$200 million of utilities and mining industry projects. Mr. Videla has professional training in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico and Germany, has been an active member of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) since 2006 and received his project management professional (PMP®) certification in 2007. He has been active in the PMI Chile Chapter and is a teacher of PMP preparation classes. He has also been an instructor of project management courses for RMC Project Management®, through its Chilean representative, and for the PMI Santiago Chile Chapter. Jaime has formal studies in Civil Engineering from the Universidad de Chile in Santiago (1980). His areas of activity today include PMO development, claims management, project planning and management services (EPC, mining projects, energy project, electrical substations, etc.), and project management training (including PMP exam preparation). In addition, he works as volunteer at the Fundación Trascender, an innovative institution that manages a network of volunteer professionals through social projects. Claudia Weninger is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in Vienna, Austria. Claudia is currently writing her PhD thesis in project management and is a Junior Researcher of the faculty of the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP, Vienna University of Business Administration in Vienna, Austria. In research Claudia’s focus is on sustainable project management and sustainable projects. Michael Young is an award winning professional project manager and has managed a range of logistics and IT projects across many industry groups, including banking/finance, information technology (IT), telecommunications, Government, facilities, defence, aviation, consulting and manufacturing in both Australia and Asia. He is currently working as a consulting project manager, providing advice and services to a range of Government departments, where he is managing the implementation of IT systems. Michael has a BSc degree and MBA in Technology Management, Advanced Diplomas in Government (Strategic Procurement) and Project Managementand is a Certified Senior Member of the Australian Computer Society. He is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Project Management, Associate Fellow of the Australian Institute of Management. Michael holds the AIPM professional award of Certified Practicing Project Director, is an AIPM endorsed assessor and is the immediate past president of the ACT Chapter of the AIPM. He is currently leading the development of the Australian Portfolio Manager professional standard. Michael is also an international correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today.
