Last Chance to participate in online Survey
on Project Sponsorship

Research is underway at Xavier University in Ohio, USA related to the behaviors of executives who sponsor projects and the relationship those behaviors have on project success. The current survey deals with the executing stage of projects. The research is being conducted by Professors, Timothy Kloppenborg, Debbie Tesch and Chris Manolis of Xavier.

According to Tim Kloppenborg (pictured), who is leading the research, “the survey will be completed soon. Executives, program and project managers, and project management professionals worldwide are being offered this last chance to participate. The results will be shared with all participants.”

Professor Kloppenborg added, “We hope to use this research in several ways. First, we want to complete rigorous analysis and publish it in one (or more if there are enough things to say) respected journal. We have previously published work on sponsor behaviors during project initiation and planning in several journals such as Journal of Managerial Issues, Information Systems Education Journal, Management Research News, and Project Management Journal. We have also presented results at several conferences. Second, we hope to integrate this into other project work we are doing. For example, later this fall I am making presentations at Air Force Institute of Technology and in Moscow. In both cases, I will combine findings from this research with other streams of research we have conducted. Third, in time, we hope to develop training programs and a trade book on the appropriate role for sponsors. We hope to share our findings far and wide. We hope this will help managers and executives as their organizations perform challenging projects.”

All opinions will be respected and appreciated. Anyone interested in participating in this research survey should simply click on the link below and follow the instructions.
