PMP Certification Manual in Portuguese

PMI has launched the PMP ® (Project Management Professional) Certification Manual translated for the Portuguese.

This manual contains information about how you can sign up for the PMP ® certification exam, a globally recognized credential and highly valued. This manual applies to both applicants for tests on the computer and printed for the tests.

PMI requires that all credential applicants read the entire manual. The purpose of this manual is to provide you with important information on obtaining and maintaining a credential from PMI ®.

Some functionality of this manual allows you to:

- Find specific information at any time by clicking a topic in the left part of
navigation bar. Each policy and part of the certification process are divided into different
areas of the list.

- How to schedule your exam and find that information quickly.

- Find important information and tips on reading the observations through the manual.

- Access to the system of online registration, the PMI.org and additional information by clicking on links embedded in the text of this manual.

3rd Amazon Congress PM

The Project Management Institute, PMI-AM, held on 2 - 3 December 2011 the 3rd Congress of Project Management in the Amazon, the only region of northern Brazil.

Its objective was to generate business opportunities between businesses and professional project management, where they will find the main players in this market.

Technical issues of interest to the Project Management for effective participation in society were presented and discussed.

Key speakers were from Brazil and several other countries.

Presented to the business community and professional segment of the project development  were news, trends and market expectations, expressing the importance of this sector in the country's development and strengthening of the area.

Vitor Vargas International Correspondent - Brazil Based in Rio de Janeiro Vitor Vargas, MBA, PMP, MSc* is a professor of project management at IBEC/INPG, UCB and Uniamerica in Brazil and director of "VV Consulting", company in the field of consulting and business management in Brazil and other countries.  Mr. Vargas is a projects manager with experience in the oil and gas, mining and information technology sectors, including subsea projects for Petrobras.  He teaches project management for several companies, including courses on software tools and various methodologies. Vitor has won several awards in the Oil & Gas projects and has national recognition by the community of PM.  Vitor holds a degree in Computer Technology from the Universidade do Grande Rio, with Project Management MBA from IBEC – UFF® (Universidade Federal Fluminense).  He is currently Mastering in Business Economics.  In addition to the PMP® certification, he holds certifications in MS-Project, SAP®/R3, MCP (Windows 2003 Server).  Vitor is a member and active volunteer at the Project Management Institute’s (PMI®) Rio de Janeiro Chapter, participating in the development of a “branch” for the Campos-RJ Basin.  Vitor is active in the Brazilian project management community, is writer of various articles and has been a speaker at project management conferences.  Vitor Vargas lives in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and can be contacted at contato@vitorvargas.com or www.vitorvargas.com.
