Project Management in Spain: Monthly Report

Great Success at the “Third Project Management Meeting” in Madrid on December 11th
 
The PMI Madrid Spain Chapter celebrated its Third Project Management Event this year on December 11th. That event joined one hundred project management professionals at the FOXA 32 Hotel in Madrid, Spain.

The keynote speakers for that event were: Mr. Louis Mercken from the PMI Board of Directors, who spoke about Project Management as Strategic Competence; Alfonso Bucero, president of PMI Madrid Chapter, who shared his experience implementing a risk management system in a Biological multinational organization; the PMO leader from AXA (Insurance Company)  for the EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) Region , who shared with all the attendees his PMO Operational best practices and experiences; and a consultant from the company INSIGHT who presented the results about a PM Soft skills study in Spain and The UK.

That event was five hours long, finishing with a round table about Risk Management, led by Gonzalo Martinez from Alcatel-Lucent Technologies, and where most of the event speakers participated. The questions and answers part was very interactive, generating interesting discussions.
