Managing the risk, positioning project Management in the Construction Business
The Spanish Project management association (AEDIP) celebrated their 10th Annual DIP 2010 Symposium at¨Colegio de Aparejadores, Arquitectos Técnicos e Ingenieros de Edificación de Madrid“; this event is considered as the most important PM Event in the Construction industry, that joined well known enterpreneurs from consulting PM Companies and other agents like promotors and experts from the public and private sectors.
Using the motto “Extrapolating new markets management”, this event analyzed the sustainibility of new Project Management markets, and has been a thinkers’ forum to go in depth into the vision and new opportunities in the current financial scenario.
The training and specialization of project management professionals will be some of the successful keys to keep that activity growing in the current financial crisis. Those have been some of the conclusions from this event, that also served to show the maturity level of the construction sector in Spain. However it needs a change regarding the traditional old approach.
The AEDIP president, Jordi Seguró, came accross a positive message inside the uncertain future for the Construction industry. He said: „We have great values earned through a lot of sacrifice, but there are vital to the health of our organizations, that are the source of our work and society progress in order to face up new horizons.“
