Istanbul, Turkey
October was a busy month for the Turkish Project Management Community; presentations, project activities and preparations for future events took off, as follows :
PMI Turkey
PMI TURKEY put on two hosted presentations on PMO's, on what is new in PM Training, and on earning PDU points for PMP's. The number of Turkish PMP's has exceeded 700, and more are coming. PMI TURKEY is providing a much-needed service to the Turkish PMP's by holding sessions to help them claim their rightful PDU's and retain their hard-earned PMP status. Attendance has been setting records for events of this nature in Turkey.
IPYD NEWS
IPYD, the Istanbul Project Management Association, continued their planning for DYNAMICS 2010, the 11th Turkish International Congress, to be held on April 2 - 3, 2010 in the MARMARA Hotel in Istanbul. Other IPYD progress included renewing their website, creating a periodic bulletin and piloting it on the website, providing PM guidance to a selected elementary school, and continuing to prepare the STRATEGIC PLAN for 2010 - 2012, with participation from many members as volunteers.
