News From the Project Management Profession

The Buenos Aires chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMIBA) has been very active in the last month, offering a regional congress in Rosario and preparing itself for the PMI Cono Sur Tour that will be hold in November. Elections for the 2010 Board of Directors was developed in October also. PMIBA maintains regular activity in four cities of Argentina: Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba, Rosario. Following is a synthesis of the latest news of PMI in Argentina:

Election of new members for the Board of Directors:

The Nominating committee of PMIBA announced the proposed directors for the 2010 period.

Following are the volunteers that were part of the 2009 BOD and were proposed as a block for continuing their work on 2010:

Allami Alberto, Bernal Abel, Boggi Cecilia, Esterkin Jose, Lledo Pablo, Ucha Osvaldo

The following volunteers are candidates to be elected for the three additional positions of the Board:

Akselrad Fabian, Delisa Nestor, Kenny Carina, Rodriguez Ana Maria, Sirvent Alberto

Electronic voting occurred on the week of October 19th. The 9 members elected to be part of the BOD will be assigned as Directors. Directors will therefore meet to elect internally the President, vice president, and secretary of the chapter. Announcements of the BOD 2010 will be made at the PMI Cono Sur Tour at Buenos Aires, on next November 9.
