PMSA News
Some major projects in progress in the Kwa-Zulu Natal branch are the Moses Mabhida Sports Stadium, the New International Airport, the Harbor Widening, the Durban Point Project, the Warwick Flyover, and the Umhlanga Ridge Project.
Some statistics which were identified during a recent survey, was that around that 78% of PMSA’s active members are paid up members of PMSA, and 70% of these admit to receiving regular communication from PMSA, via e-mail and our ProjectNet magazine. A feather in the cap of the various branch executives and the PMSA staff is that 61% of our members feel that they are getting value from their membership. PMSA is committed to improving these statistics in the next year, even if the economic circumstances are less than favorite.
Some of the plans on the cards are an online forum or BLOG on the PMSA website for PM’s seeking advice, or for sharing of information (Lessons Learnt, FAQ’s), more Monthly information sessions and PM training sessions as well as Professional Development training, clarity on the process for claiming PDU’s, the publishing of Tools and Techniques for Project Managers and site visits to local projects.
