PMI Region 5 2009 Leadership Meeting
“The Best is Yet to Come”
The leaders of PMI’s Region 5 Chapters met on January 29 through 31 at the Region 5 2009 Leadership Meeting to learn from and share with each other around the theme, “The Best Is Yet to Come”. PMI’s Region 5 consists of 14 Chapters in Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, South Carolina, and North Carolina. It boasts nearly 20,000 PMI Chapter members and includes both the 2007 Component of the Year (Washington DC – Category 4) and the 2008 Component of the Year (Central Virginia – Category 3).
The annual event, hosted this year by the PMI Silver Spring Chapter, was held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Silver Spring, Maryland. According to its website, the PMI Silver Spring Chapter “provides an open forum for professionals in the field of project management in Silver Spring, Maryland and the surrounding Washington, DC metropolitan area to promote the principles of the Project Management Institute through networking with other project managers, sharing project experiences, providing and receiving training, and supporting project managers in their certification and continuing professional development efforts”.
