PMSA (Project Management South Africa) News
Each year Project Management South Africa runs its Project Management Excellence awards programme, inviting local project leaders to submit details of their completed projects that exemplify best practices in the discipline.
Following the nomination deadline of mid-January 2009, seven local projects have been put forward to the judging panel. These include projects in social development, mining, construction and engineering, information technology and one that led to an innovative project tool.
The winner will be announced early in March and will also be put forward to the regional leg of the PMI Project of the Year (POY) Awards.
South African projects have won POY awards on three occasions in the past.
