Letter to Editor

On the Subject of How Many Projects
can One PM handle

10 July 2010

Dear David,

I wanted to provide some additional input into the letter to the editor about how many projects can a person manage at one time (June 29, 2010). The writer Kristi Baldwin actually found one of my columns on a website for construction project management. I am not sure how the column got there. Someone must have posted the column from some other website - perhaps Tech Republic.

I wanted to point out two things - first, the model for determining the number of projects is not just applicable to construction projects. As I mentioned I am not sure how the column ended up there to begin with. The model works for any industry.

Second, Kristi notes that the column is not from a "well known source". I beg to differ on this count as well.   :-)
