Location of the June CoEye Meeting
The Earned Value Management Community of interest (“EVM CoEye”) was founded in 2005 by volunteers in the Project Management Institute’s College of Performance Management (www.pmi-cpm.org). Led by George Liao from the U.S. government’s General Services Administration, who previously had organized a series of monthly downtown luncheon meetings under auspices of the Washington DC PMI chapter, the volunteers saw a need to provide information on EVM to workers in the civilian agencies of government. Because EVM originated in defense contracting, it was understood in the Department of Defense and in aerospace agencies such as NASA but was relatively unknown in other parts of the government.
