Introduction to the Book

This book focuses on all elements of the project management lifecycle, utilizing real-life examples in a diary format that is easy to relate to and understand. 

The project management 4 P’s (Process, People, Parts, and Phenomena) enables the reader to become more knowledgeable by handling obstacles (internal and external), thereby providing a foundation to be better equipped to succeed.   Being that each project is unique in nature, this book focuses on important aspects such as working culture, internal processes, and the team environment.  Ultimately, project characteristics that is consistent among all projects.

Overview of Book’s Structure

The diary format symbolizes a day-to-day chronicle of a project team developing a series of new products.  This stimulating read has short chapters, providing an engaging look at the trials and tribulations of project management; accompanied by many ‘aha ha’ moments in this vastly dynamic profession.

Each chapter is structured where the project obstacle is stated upfront.  The chapter discussion highlights the current scenario the team is facing, and the chapter ends with what the team could have done better to mitigate the difficulty.
