Introduction to the Book

This book contains over 230 questions covering all sections of the EVP (Earned Value Professional) certification. This book is for professionals who are planning on taking the EVP certification exam.

The book provides sample questions for the EVP certification. The EVP certification provides confidence on the understanding of EVM and related topics of cost, time and scope in project management.

Overview of Book’s Structure

The book is organized in four parts. Each part consists of the following sections:

Section I Questions – Sample questions of the EVP certification exam

Section II Answer Sheets – exam like sections with the choices to select the answer to Section I question.

Section III Answer key – Detailed explanation of the correct answer.

Each Part of the study guide covers a different section on the exam.

Part 1 – Prepares for Sections I and II of the exam. Basic Understanding of EVM concepts, cost estimating, scheduling and project management related topics.

Part 2 and 3 – Prepare for Section III of the exam. Generating EVM data from a descriptive problem or performing analysis of EVM data.

Part 4 – Prepares for Section IV of the exam. A simulated Project EVM data is presented and a three page hand written memo has to be prepared detailing the state of the project and recommended actions to follow.
