SOLAR ENERGY LARGE SCALE PROJECTS IN RUSSIA
The Russian State Corporation of Nanotechnologies (RUSNANO) was established in 2007 to enable Government policy in the field of Nanotechnology. Solar energy generation (photovoltaics) is one of the most rapidly-growing sectors in global industry. Average annual growth rates are more than 30%.
ROSNANO is establishing in Russia a new industry - solar energy by participating in the two large scale projects.
Nitol Solar in partnership with RUSNANO is implementing the Nitol Polysilicon Project aiming to construct Russia's first large-scale complex producing polycrystalline silicon and monosilane production facility, located in the Usolie-Sibirskoe, Irkutsk region.
The total project budget amounts to $ 650 million. The overall of RUSNANO’s investment in the Nitol Polysilicon Project will total $ 250 million, with $ 150 million being provided in the form of a long-term loan, and $ 100 million, provided in the form of Guarantees of the RUSNANO State Corporation. The loan and resources obtained under guarantee will bi directed to completing the facilities for the production of polysilicon. Alfa Bank is to be a partner in the project, granting credit to finance the companies’ current needs, and attracting the financial resources under the RUSNANO guarantee.

He has published numerous articles on project management in the Russian Chief Information Officer (CIO) magazine and presented papers at PM professional conferences, seminars and events in Europe, Asia and Russia. He is the co-author, with G. L. Tsipes, of the books “Project Management: Standards, Methods, Experience” (Olimp-Business, Moscow, 2003), “Project Management in practice of a modern company” (Olimp-Business, Moscow, 2006) and „Projects and Project Management in a modern company.
