REGIONAL REPORT:

Project Management News from Argentina

Argentina

By Ana Maria Rodriguez
International Correspondent for PMForum
& PM World Today

 Rosario, Argentina

The Buenos Aires Argentina Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMIBA) is present in the most important cities of Argentina through its regional communities in Mendoza, Cordoba, Rosario, San Juan and also in the city of Buenos Aires. Its board of Directors is composed for representatives of all regions which gives a national orientation to the Chapter. PMIBA pretends to develop and support new communities in all regions of Argentina where there is a clear need for the spread of the PM profession and there are members of PMIBA willing to work as volunteers on this development. When communities mature, it is expected they will become independent chapters of PMI. Such is the case of the Nuevo Cuyo Region, as explained above.

PMIBA activities for March 2010

PMIBA plans for 2010 include more than 20 activities through all the country. Activities include lectures, members meetings and also preparation seminars for the PMP Certification in 5 different cities. The Chapter will also host the PMI Cono Sur stops in Buenos Aires and Mendoza in November. The activities will be announced on PM World Today on this regional report each month.

The following activities are scheduled for March 2010:
