PMI Buenos Aires Argentina Chapter (PMIBA)
Great Achievements in 2009
During 2009, the PMI Buenos Aires Argentina Chapter faced the challenge of adding dynamism to its activity and also to establish presence in several cities of Argentina. The Board of Directors wants to share with PM World Today the main conclusions of the excellent work in 2009:
The chapter offered services in 5 cities: Buenos Aires, Mendoza, Córdoba, Rosario and San Juan. Regional communities were established in these cities, were a constant level of work is maintained. This is the first case of a PMI chapter with regular activity in so many cities.
Membership grew 18% in 2009, reaching 389 members on December 2009. This places the chapter within those with higher growth in the Latin American region.
20% of the members are located outside Buenos Aires
In 2009 PMIBA organized 4 members meetings and 27 open meetings in which we counted the participation of 30 lecturers and 720 attendees, with an average satisfaction level of 85%
PMIBA also hosted 2 events within the PMI Cono Sur Tour, in Mendoza and Buenos Aires. The presence of 10 international authorities of PMI including its CEO Mr. Gregory Balestrero, 20 lecturers and 1000 attendees placed these events within the best of PMI in Latin America.
3 seminars to support the preparation of members to the PMP and CAPM certifications were offered with 45 attendees. 62 members of the chapter certified as PMPs in 2009…
