The PMSA Tshwane branch meeting and presentation on 23 April, where Adrian Lovel-Hall, PMP, discussed the various changes, including the new, changed and updated processes in the PMBOK® 4th Edition, was a great success. He touched on the aspects of leadership skills required by project managers and changes to the communication management knowledge area. In addition, recently-accredited Project Management Professionals (PMPs) related their experiences in obtaining this prestigious credential, explained the process and fielded questions.

The Johannesburg Branch plans a branch meeting and AGM for Monday, 18 May 2009. In addition, Professor Pieter Steyn will make a presentation on the topic: Balanced Scorecard Programme Management (BSPM). Pieter Steyn is Founder and Principal of Cranefield College of Project and Programme Management. He is a member of PMSA, past President of APMSA and South Africa’s former representative on the Council of Delegates of the International Project Management Association (IPMA).
