Project Management Update from Brazil

Introduction

This third quarter was really busy for the project management community in Brazil. Some of the most important events happened in October and November, and we still have more to come!

PM Profession News

In December 15th, in Rio de Janeiro, will happen the ceremony of the Project of the Year Award, organized by the Mundo Project Management magazine and the Fundação Getúlio Vargas business school. The award, created last year, recognizes the excellence in project management and the competence of Brazilian professionals.

PM Events

IX Seminário Internacional de Gerenciamento de Projetos – PMI-SP – Oct. 27-29 – with more than 620 attendees, the IX International Seminar organized by the PMI-SP Chapter showed a different way of doing a conference. Focusing on innovation and networking, the event had a strong interaction among the public and the speakers, and had representatives from some of the largest companies in Brazil, such as Petrobras, Bradesco, Siemens, Rockwell, Promon, Alston do Brasil, CPM Braxis, Ericsson, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Tecban, T-Systems, etc.
