On the Subject of the PM Manifesto for America
January 12, 2009
We (Program Management Academy) read with great interest your editorial in the January 2009 PMWorld Today containing the project management manifesto, as well as the article concerning the research by the Council for Excellence in Government on Improvements in Federal Program Management.
We're responding to your invitation to contact you if we're interested in participating in this very exciting work. PMA can provide assistance to the government in multiple areas in which we have direct experience and deep expertise, these include but are not limited to the following areas:
- Practical, hands-on experience in managing large scale programs in public and government sectors
- Practical, hands-on experience in developing and leading organization transition and change management programs in state government and publically held companies
- Expertise in developing and delivering training programs in the areas of program management, organization transition management, writing project and program requirements, and distributed team leadership
- Practical experience in setting up program management offices in companies such as Intel, Tektronix, and Lockheed-Martin
- Developing the methods, processes, tools and practices for fully integrating the disciplines of project management, program management, transition management, and change management that we believe these large and important programs will require.
All principle members of PMA have a minimum of twenty years of experience in organizations such as Intel, Lockheed-Martin, AT&T, Sun Microsystems, Tektronix, State of Oregon, and various universities.
We look forward to learning about opportunities to participate and help in partnership with PMForum.
Best Regards,
