3rd UT Dallas Project Management Symposium promoted at PMI Dallas Chapter 2009 Vendor Showcase
The PMI Dallas Chapter's annual "2009 Vendor Showcase" was a big success on Thursday evening, February 5, 2009, drawing more than 400 attendees. 17 companies participated, showcasing project management products, services and technologies to the project managers and PMI members from around North Texas.

According to James Joiner, director of the Project Management Program at UT Dallas and the August PM Symposium, "This was a good opportunity to promote both our project management MBA and MS programs, as well as the project management symposium in August. We've received quite a few abstracts, so the symposium should have a full set of tracks and presentations. We expect around 350 to attend the symposium this year."

"Speakers at the August symposium will have attendance fees waived," Joiner added. "So this will be a good opportunity for project managers and executives to give a talk, bring some recognition to their organizations, gain some PDUs, and advance their careers at little cost. The Call for Papers is still open. We are looking for good presentations, real world experiences and new ideas about project and program management."
the 3rd UT Dallas Project Management Symposium will be held August 13-14, 2009 on The University of Texas at Dallas campus in Richardson, Texas, USA. The conference is being sponsored by the Graduate Program in Project Management in the School of Management's Executive Education Center at The University of Texas at Dallas, in partnership with Dallas Chapter of the Project Management Institute (PMI®) and PMForum. The 2-day Project Management Symposium will focus on topics important to organizations, industries and the economy of North Texas.
