Daniel D. Galorath has over 35 years of experience in the software industry where he has solved a variety of management, costing, systems, and software problems, and performed all aspects of software development and management. Mr. Galorath is founder and president of Galorath Incorporated, maker of the SEER® suite of estimation tools. Mr. Galorath is one of the principal developers of the SEER-SEM™ Software Estimation Model. Mr. Galorath completed his undergraduate work and MBA from California State Universities. He is a member of the International Society of Parametric Analysis (ISPA), Society of Cost Estimation and Analysis (SCEA), IEEE, the International Function Point Users Group (IFPUG), and the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM). He was honored with the Freiman Award, recognizing his long-term contributions to the field of parametric analysis. Mr. Galorath teaches courses in software cost, schedule, and risk analysis; software project management; software engineering; systems architecture, and other related topics. Professor Roland Gareis, PhD

Professor Roland Gareis, Ph.D., is a university professor for project management at the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT GROUP, the University of Economics and Business Administration, Vienna, Austria and director of the university programme “International Project Management”. From 1986–2002 he was chairman of the board of the project management association Project Management Austria. In 1990 he organized the IPMA world congress on the topic “Management by Projects” in Vienna. Dr. Gareis is a former research director of the International Project Management Association IPMA, and has conducted extensive research on the subjects of “management by projects” and “project oriented society”. He studied at the University of Economics and Business Administration, Vienna, and habilitated at the University of Technology, Vienna. He was also a professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, a visiting professor at the ETH, Zurich, at the Georgia State University, Atlanta and at the University of Quebec, Montreal. Roland Gareis was born in Vienna in 1948. He has two children with his wife Haldis: Luisa and Lorenz. Once a professional soccer player, today he plays tennis and goes skiing when not teaching, researching or consulting on project management.

Stanislaw Gasik

Stanislaw Gasik received his Master of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Warsaw. Stanislaw moved to Project Management (PM) after working over 15 years as a software engineer, analyst and consultant in the information technology (IT) sector. He began his PM experience with several years of quality management, after which he started delivering his own projects. He has been a lecturer in software engineering and project management at the Warsaw School of Economics and other Polish educational institutions. He was a member of the team that developed the Guide to the PMBOK® 2004 for the Project Management Institute (PMI®). He was active in other PMI standardization projects like the development of the Portfolio Management Standard. Currently he is a board member of the PMI Warsaw Chapter, responsible for education and professional development.  Stanislaw headed implementation of Primavera portfolio management tools at ComputerLand, Poland, which was distinguished with the Primavera Excellence Award in High Tech sector in 2006. His professional interests include portfolio management, PMO, maturity models, knowledge management and supplier-customer relationships in project management. Jan Gelrud

Gelrud Jan is professor and department chair for "Enterprise and management" at the South Ural State University in Chelyabinsk, Russia. His teaching disciplines include: "Mathematics", "Theory of probabilities and mathematical statistics", "Econometrics", "Economic and mathematical methods", "Mathematical methods of decision making", "Bases of methodology of decision making", "Economic evaluation of investments", "Mathematical methods and models of governing projects", and "Studies of managerial systems". Professor Jan has more than 100 publications and appearances at seminars and conferences. During the last 5 years, he has published 15 scientific works, 8 scholastic allowances, and a monograph entitled "Project management in conditions of risk and uncertainty". Born in 1947 in Birobidjan, Khabarovsk, he finished physicist-mathematical school at Novosibirsk in 1965 and graduated from the mathematical department of the University of Novosibirsk in 1970. From 1970 until 1991, he worked in the Research institute of automatic managerial systems, managing the mathematical division. Florin Georghiu

Florin Gheorghiu, PMP, has more than 10 years of experience in Project Management methodology and process implementation covering the entire project life cycle. His applied expertise is centered on “turn key” Engineering-Procurement-Construction projects in the power sector.   His experience includes large power plants rehabilitation projects financed by the International Bank for Reconstruction & Development (IBRD) and the European Bank for Reconstruction & Development (EBRD).  He has worked for Parsons Power (Gilbert Commonwealth), Lahmeyer International and Pennsylvania Power & Light (PP&L) as a project Consultant.

Earl Glenwright

Earl Glenwright, PE, has a career spanning 40+ years in construction project scheduling.  Earl is certified as a Planning and Scheduling Professional [PSP] by the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International [AACEi].  He is currently active with the PMI-College of Scheduling, and the AACEi Planning and Scheduling Committee.  He frequently gives presentations at their annual conferences.  Earl has both a BS in Civil Engineering and a MBA degree and is a Registered Professional Engineer. Earl's career has included multi-year positions in several countries including Brasil and Saudi Arabia, and shorter tours in Sudan. He currently lives in Bulgaria and Colorado.  Prior to 1988 he was employed by the [US] Bureau of Reclamation and the [US] Army Corps of Engineers. After retiring in 1988 he has been a free-lance consultant for both contractor's construction scheduling and small business Enterprise Project Management. His experience includes large and very large [super-mega] construction projects, very small projects such as construction planning, and scheduling for home construction by his Habitat for Humanity affiliate. Through his extensive scheduling experience he has been recognized as a Subject Matter Expert [SME], a Master Scheduler,  and an Expert Advisor. Earl has been active in the Project Management Institute for 30+years.  He has presented “Time & Cost” training at PMI's annual seminar-symposia, and was a member of the initial PMBoK Guide Project Team, the 2000 update team, and the project team that prepared the 3rd edition.  Earl has recently presented ‘workshop/seminars' for Bulgarian project scheduling and controls persons which covers the 3 phases of scheduling: framework preparation/planning, schedule development, and schedule management and control.  The work books are dual language English and Bulgarian. Mr. Thibaut Goupil is an International Correspondent for PMForum and PM World Today in France. Living in La Ciotat (close to Marseille, on the Mediterranean coast), he is currently also a project management consultant based in Paris, providing consulting services for a major chemical company in Lyon.  From managing smalls projects, to scheduling / cost control / cost estimation of remote and multi-cultural mega capital projects, and project control management on a multiple-location R&D program as a deputy program manager, Mr. Goupil has gained experience in the engineering, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, and shipbuilding industries. Thibaut holds a Masters Degree in Project and Programme Management from ESC Lille (PMI® GACPM accredited programme), a Graduate Diploma in Business Engineering from Euromed Toulon (ESCT) and a degree in Mechanical and Production Engineering (DUT GMP) from Toulon University in France. Hammons, PMP has a 15-year track record in project management.  An eight-year Veteran of the United States Navy, Donald's U.S. Navy telecommunication experience launched his civilian program management career in the U.Ss Telecom and IT sectors in the early-mid 1990's.  Don has led large multi-million dollar programs for Lucent Technologies, Alcatel SA of France, and Deutsche Bank AG in Asia-Pac.  Donald is the former PMO for the Donald W. Reynolds Foundation Cardiovascular Clinical Research Center at UT Southwestern, a member of the Town of Flower Mound, Texas 4B Community Development Corporation Board, and is currently a management consultant in N. Martina is part of the faculty of the PROJEKTMANAGEMENT  GROUP, Vienna University of Business Administration, Austria and she is Adjunct Professor for Project Management at ESC Lille, France. She is a network partner of ROLAND GAREIS CONSULTING.  Martina has successfully managed research, event and organisational development projects. She teaches and trains project management and managing the project-oriented company nationally and internationally and does research in these fields. In research she concentrates on Human Resource Management in project-oriented companies, project and program auditing, and maturity of project-oriented companies, industries and nations. Martina is board member of Project Management Austria, the Austrian national member association of IPMA, and a member of the IPMA Research & Development Management Board. Nigel Hughes

Nigel Hughes is Director of Global Market and Service  Development at Compass. He has a wide and well-established background in IT and Business.  Within Compass, Nigel's specialist areas are the realization of business value from IT applications, IT strategy, combined with governance of IT and knowledge management. Brian Irwin, PMP, is President of PM Team Dynamics in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, USA. Brian has worked in project and program management roles for more than twelve years for companies such as Gateway 2000, Hewlett Packard, and Rockwell Collins.
