XING Social Networking to be featured at 2010 IPMA World Congress on Project Management in Istanbul

The organizing team for the 24th IPMA World Congress in Istanbul have announced that they will partner with XING for social networking during the November 2010 congress. The Project Management Association in Turkey (TrPMA) and the International Project Management Association (IPMA) will host the 24th IPM World Congress on Project Management in Istanbul during 1-3 November 2010. According to Prof Çetin Elmas (pictured at right), President of TrPMA and congress chair, "During this timeline, and after the congress of course, we will have IPMA Turkey XING group for project managers and participants at the congress. IPMA members and other project managers who are not yet IPMA members will have a networking platform for sharing, getting their ideas, and exchanging Project Management issues. Group languages are Turkish and English."

The theme for the 24th IPMA World Congress on Project Management in Istanbul next year will be "Challenges & Opportunities." The 24th IPMA World Congress will be held at the Hilton Istanbul Hotel, located at Cumhuriyet Caddessi, Harbiye, Istanbul, Turkey. Istanbul has been chosen as the host city for the 2010 IPMA world congress because of its historical and cultural heritage, and also for its location. Istanbul is at the center of the economic and political area known as Eurasia, where three regions - Europe, the former Soviet Union and the Middle East - intersect.

The local host of the 24th IPMA World Congress on Project Management in Istanbul will be Project Management Association in Turkey (TrPMA), based in Ankara. It is the national membership body for Turkey in IPMA. The Chairman of the 24th IPMA World Congress is Prof. Dr. Çetin Elmas.
